Men’s Bible Study – September 2025

by Mike Mullens

If you haven’t attended the Trinity Men’s Bible Study in a while or you’ve just recently become a member of our Trinity Baptist fellowship, you will find attending the Trinity Men’s Bible Study a great way to get to know other Christian men as we fellowship and study God’s word together.

The 2025 Fall session of the TBC Men’s Bible Study begins Thursday, September 4th. Class hours are 10:00 a.m. until noon and include a refreshment break about half-way through the class. Materials are free.

The topic for our twelve-week study this fall is Jesus Messiah, Son of God which will take us through a thorough study of Matthew, Mark and Luke. There are some differences between each of these three important New Testament books which we will investigate as we discuss them. The starting point of this class will be Jesus is without question the most Important man who has ever walked on this planet. He alone was all God and all man and now sits on the right hand of God the Father for all eternity. So, it encourages everyone who professes their faith in Him as the Son of God to discover everything we can about Him. Our study of these three Gospels will help all of us get to know Him better.

Eagle’s Wings Home Group – September 2025

by Missy Coulter

Eagle’s Wings is a home-based Bible study that meets in the home of Chuck and Missy Coulter. We meet on Monday evenings from 6 to 8pm. Around 6, we gather for a home cooked meal and fellowship. Chuck usually provides the main course and other group members bring sides and dessert. Enjoying a meal together allows us to visit and get to know each other better while also providing in reach for the needs of our group. We try to keep the group no larger than 12 as this provides for more intimacy. And we love celebrating birthdays!

We begin our Bible study around 7:00. The group as a whole chooses what we will study through Right Now Media, then confirms with JD. Once the subject matter is chosen, we do one session a week. We watch the video and have “lively” discussions using the study guide provided with the video. We break for the summer but continue to meet once a month in other group members’ homes for fellowship and a home cooked meal. This allows us to stay connected through the summer months. And yes! We Love to Eat!

Eagle’s Wings is very involved in meeting the needs of our neighbors and our community (outreach). A few of our group members build ramps for disabled and elderly. Others do home repairs for those who cannot afford to hire someone. A neighbor needed a stove, we networked, found one (free), picked it up and delivered it. We are also very involved with Mercy Gate Ministries. We network to help meet the needs of women entering the program and those graduating the program, and so much more!

I would encourage you to visit Bible Studies and Home Groups and find one to connect and serve with. It is amazing to witness the Hands and Feet of Jesus at work, as well as study His Word together while building lasting relationships!

Lois Home Group – July 2025

by Katie McMillan

The Lois Street Home Group meets regularly through the fall and spring semesters, two Sunday nights a month in the home of Tabor and Katie McMillan. The group also typically meets with the Kerrville West Home Group once a month for a group fellowship.

We are a group currently made up of 5 families, with children ranging in age from newborn to 6th grade. We met this spring with committed and accountable hearts, despite the challenges that come with meeting during the busiest time of the year. Our meetings are structured to provide time for fellowship, a shared meal that is prepared collectively, and designated time for a bible study. This semester we worked through John Mark Comer’s study on reading scripture. The scripture study is a part of a larger study that we have delved into multiple times over the last two years called, “Practicing the Way.”  “Practicing the Way” encourages readers to intentionally rearrange their lives to be with Jesus, become like him, and do as he did, creating a life that reflects the values and practices of the Way of Jesus. We worked individually and came together as a community to grow in our relationships with Christ through incorporating intentional and focused scripture reading times into our daily lives. Through fervent prayer, accountability, the support of Trinity Baptist Church, and dedication to growing our relationships with each other, we have developed a strong sense of family as a community of believers.

Our celebrations from this spring semester include the birth of Kevin and Madison Maldonado’s first child, John Henry, the elected deaconship of Tabor McMillan and James Tripp, involvement in TBCK’s production of the Victor by several of our members, and the baptisms of Karl Kearns, Katie and Walker McMillan. We are currently on break for the summer but are looking forward to resuming our Sunday meetings again this fall. If you are interested in meeting with the Lois Street small group, please reach out to Tabor or Katie McMillan.

Flower Ministry – July 2025

by Sharon Grimes

The Flower Ministry meets Monday mornings to divide the altar flowers into small arrangements and deliver them to church members who are ill, in need of encouragement or to celebrate an occasion.

This is the sweet message sent with our flowers. “These flowers have been in the Worship Center at Trinity Baptist Church. They have heard the pastor’s message, the singing of the choir and congregation and the prayers offered in reverence before God. They come to you now, still fresh from the holy atmosphere of worship bringing with them our thoughts and good wishes in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”

If the Holy Spirit moves you to serve with us contact Gina Stewart in the church office.

We would be happy to have you join our small team. While we are serving others, we receive the joy of the Lord in return. Careful consideration and the prompting of the Holy Spirit frequently guide us to those who will receive flowers each week. Sometimes the donor of the flowers has a special request for who they are led to share them with. The flowers are rearranged with love and prayer. As we decide who will receive the flowers, we also plan for delivery or pick up in the office. We praise the Lord for the blessing of the flowers in church on Sunday, for our work with the arrangements and then we pray for those receiving the gift. The Lord always knows the need, if we do not.

The love poured into our fellow church family on Monday is truly a gift from those who provided the flowers for Sunday’s Worship Service. Visiting with our fellow church friends is a true gift for all.

We Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow for this ministry.

“Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation of shifting shadow.” James 1:17 NASB
