LIFE@TRINITY
Life at Trinity is given order through three words: Worship, Connect, and Serve. God has gifted each of us differently and equipped us with different passions and preferences. With the choices at Trinity we ask that you seek to Worship with the church, Connect with a small group, and Serve in a way God has gifted you once a week. To help make that simpler we place the things we do under the word that best fits that group or activity. Start by choosing one thing from each area.

Christology: The Person of Christ Historically & Theologically
25
Apr '18

TrinityU Sunday Evenings
5:00 – 6:15 PM
Sep 8 – Oct 13
Christology is the study of the nature and work of Jesus Christ. This session focuses on both
a.) how the earliest Christians thought about Christ and
b.) Christ’s role in the Trinity.
It begins with the foundations of early Christology and finishes with discussion of how several Christological themes appear today. Emphasis will be placed on the development of doctrine and the practical implication of such thinking for the church. The readings for discussion (including selections from Dietrich Bonhoeffer) require diligence, but are not overly academic. 6-weeks, reading material provided. Help us plan for needed materials by calling Gina at 830-895-0100

Jesus Christ is at the center of attention in the book of Hebrews. We learn that He is greater than the prophets, the angels, Moses, Joshua, and Aaron—He is superior over all others. Hebrews describes Jesus’ ministry in heaven at God’s right hand on our behalf…
…We are urged to let go of everything else in order to hold fast to our faith and to the hope of the gospel. It is a timely warning and a word of comfort to all, especially today when many are led astray by fads and cults.

A study for women of all ages. Childcare is available by reservation (Paula, 895-0100). Materials are $15.
The city of ancient Corinth was much like our own modern-day cities. In other words, it was a melting pot of electrifying cultural experiences, along with the myriad pitfalls of spiritual depravity. Still, Paul wrote to the church of God in Corinth. Through Paul’s letter we see that God’s church is meant to thrive in any city and every circumstance, and therefore is as as timely as ever.
In Kelly’s All Things New Bible Study, she will lead you through the Letter of 2 Corinthians over 8 sessions. You will explore the anchoring truths of bearing treasures in jars of clay. You’ll learn how to meet Christ through a pressing thorn and how to open your heart in the midst of hurtful relationships. You will see what it means to embrace the lost and lonely as ministers of the new covenant. Each of us has a message to proclaim and live by. Because of Jesus the old has gone, the new has come.
