“I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.” Philippians 3:12
Congratulations, once again, to our graduates and their families for this wonderful marker of time and successful effort. We are excited to keep up with and hear about the next steps of our graduates. God has great plans for each one of them and we pray alongside for them to both hear and follow the LORD in the days to come.
I have been reading in the papers and social media about so many of our other students and their accomplishments this year. I hope you are aware that we have many incredible students in several schools throughout our county and that they are making a difference both in their futures and those around them. We anticipate a full summer of activities to continue developing strong disciples within our community. Thank you, parents, for your investment with your children. We count it a joy to be on the team that supports you.
Summer is here. School is out. Teachers are looking to the days of rest and renewal as many will begin at some point to plan for next year. Others will look at these summer months and plan for time away, vacations and trips. I hope that families will enjoy the extended time together and build great memories.
Mission trips, summer camps, day adventures, Bible studies, faith connections, and Sunday worship will all be part of our summer calendar. We hope you will take advantage of all that is offered and be renewed and refreshed when the fall comes around.
We are grateful that Texans on Mission are still supporting and assisting those in our community with rebuilding. I have said it more than once, it is so good to be part of a larger family. In just a few weeks, we will be hosting over 250 on our campus, sleeping everywhere and serving in many places throughout our county. Bounce Ministries, Discipleship and Missions, Mission Serve, will be just a few larger groups with many churches still coming together throughout the summer. Thank you, Trinity, for the interruption and adjustments it has taken to provide such support to Kerr County. As a result, we will have some adjustments from week to week regarding rooms for our continued ministries.
As a staff we have been discussing a different approach to what we are offering to the church regarding next steps discipleship. This fall we will begin a new time on Wednesday nights for both meals and ministry options. There will be much more to share in our next Trinity Life. For now, pray with us as we seek the LORD’s direction in how we can make the best use of times and efforts. We have an incredible staff and it is a joy to sit, pray and plan together.
Continue to pray for our Youth Minister Search Committee. Our students have a full schedule of ministry events and we are excited about the process the LORD has led our search team in looking for our next Youth Minister.
Next Month we will be remembering last year’s flood while also preparing for the 250th celebration of our country. There are special events for July 3rd and July 4th. Stay tuned this month as we will be sending out reminders of planned events to both help us in recovery and to celebrate God’s goodness to us as a country.
In Christ,
