TrinityKids

The ministry to children, and by the children, of Trinity Baptist Church reaches beyond the walls of the church and into the surrounding community. Through children and families future generations are drawn closer to Christ and a saving relationship with Him.

We desire for children to know they created by God and made for a purpose. We provide building blocks for kids to learn about Jesus and support for parents to help kids come to Christ. Opportunities for them to grow in their relationship with Christ come through Bible study classes, mission service groups, and intentional Christ-centered care.

Our classes are growing as children are returning. We are creating new classes/groups to better meet the children were they are in their development to lead them to a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Children’s Ministry – November 2025

God is doing amazing work all around our community! It was a joy to see over 150 volunteers serving at First Blessing! Trinity provided breakfast for over 300 families and 417 pairs of shoes were given to kids. Six people accepted Christ, and many Bibles were given out in English and Spanish. Thank you, Trinity, for sharing the gospel!

God opened the door at the perfect time for Xtreme Obedience to be at Pre-Teen Camp this past summer. Our kids were blessed to spend time with Justin and his well-trained therapy dogs after the flood. Xtreme Obedience also came to Trinity and shard on Wednesday night about following the Master (Jesus) and listening to him. Justin and the dogs also shared with Center Point ISD kids about being a champion in life and making wise choices. The Xtreme Obedience team has been a blessing to our community!

Mark your calendars for Night in Bethlehem to be held on December 5th and 6th, Friday and Saturday night, at 6pm. What a great time to invite your friends and neighbors to come and drive through the Story of Jesus’ Birth! This free event will be located on the Bluebell side of the church. Bring your phone to listen along as the scenes unfold. If you are interested in serving at this wonderful ministry event, or need more information, please contact the church office.

Shepherding

by Paul Pankratz

I have been involved in children’s ministries for many years and have had the privilege of serving as a Shepherd in the Children’s Ministry during the 9:45 service since the second week we joined the Trinity family. The opportunity has been a continuous blessing, and I look forward to serving every week. While not a part of the Security team, we are responsible for ensuring the safety of each child. Each Shepherd submits a background check and completes training to understand the roles and responsibilities of the position, not to mention being trained to support and coordinate response in the children’s area, such as in the event an evacuation is required. Shepherds also monitor classrooms to see if teachers need any assistance or additional support during the hour.

It’s such a joy to see the children on a weekly basis. One of my favorite parts of being a Shepherd is watching their progress as they grow physically and spiritually. It is an absolute blessing!

Shepherd duties are a ministry to children and is equally a ministry opportunity to parents. All teachers in the Children’s Department do an excellent job caring for and teaching each child, but the Shepherds are the face that parents get to see most often. New parents, and especially those visiting, need to have confidence that their precious children will be safe while they attend worship services and/or Sunday School. It’s important that they can feel comfortable and confident in leaving their children with us. Shepherds have the opportunity to greet parents, ease the transition for their children and at the same time put the parents at ease, so that they can fully engage in worship. I consider this one of the most important roles that Shepherds perform.

There are always opportunities to serve as a Shepherd, either on a regular basis, once a month as a part of a rotation, or as an occasional resource to fill in when there is a need. It is definitely a fulfilling and valuable way to serve the Body at Trinity.

First Blessing 2025

First Blessing, to be held September 20 from 7:30-11:30am, is our annual Mission Trip to Kerr County. What a blessing it is to serve our community through this ministry of providing families breakfast and then giving free shoes and socks for children 2 years old through 12th grade. First Blessing is a time when we get to share the gospel and pray for families in our community.

This year, it will be especially important for us to love on our community. I’m grateful for a team that will be present and listen to stories and share Jesus.

Here are a few ways to join us on this Mission Trip to Kerrville: Serve food, be a table host, measure feet, give out socks, help with trying on shoes, serve as a greeter and more. If you are interested, please email Kellee at kparish@tbck.org.
